Original Item: One Only. This is a a nice example of an original M-1860 U.S. Cavalry Saber from the Civil War clearly marked on the blade:

CHELMSFORD, MASS.

On opposite side of the 35" curved blade it is marked

U.S.

The ROBY name and manufactured date are worn away.

The three bar brass hilt guard has a leather bound grip; the brass wire binding is nicely intact. The saber comes with the original matched all steel curved scabbard with two retaining rings. A very nice sword!
